Free and easy down the road I go….

Poor Matt….” Pair of boots and a sack of clothes”…that was him to a T before we got married (literally-a brown paper sack from the local grocery store).  Same attitude, but now he’s packing along 5 extra people and 12+ suitcases to Brazil… 🙂

Packing is going….ho hum…well, it’s going.  Not my favorite thing to do, and less so now trying to decide WHAT TO TAKE and WHICH BAG TO PUT IT IN.  And do we really need it for language school, or can it wait and come down with a team for when we’re settled…….I keep trying to change my perspective from “how do I condense my whole life into 12 suitcases and 5 or so totes” to “wow, I am thankful to have the option to take all these things, and the freedom to make choices…”  Some days it works, some days it doesn’t.  Still trying to get healthy–between being sick for the past week (and losing two full days when I should’ve been packing/cleaning out our rental) and not enough sleep (chaperoning a sleepover for a bunch of 11 & 12 year olds, and nights staying awake coughing), I have been on somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster.    I’m sure it will all level out once we get to Brazil and culture shock hits…oh wait.  Maybe not 🙂  But, God is going with us and knows what we’ll face before we get there, so as long as I keep that in mind and pack along Matt’s free & easy attitude, we’ll be alright 🙂

If you pray for us, muito obrigada, (many thanks)–at the top of the list right now is health (continued for half of us and restored for the other half), and wise/quick decision making.
